                                 KAREN ANNE McMAHON

                                                    has been living her childhood dream for the past 29 years as Owner/Director of West Side Dance Center in West                                                                    Springfield, MA.  She uses her talent and ambition as a mentor, instructor, choreographer and friend to her students

                                                    from age 2 to 92!  “Ms. Karen,” as she is known to her students, trained with Anita’s Dance Studio in West Springfield, MA                                                      and continued her training with Broadway Dance Center, Traditions in Tap, Dance Educators of America, CLI Studios,                                                            Dance Teacher Web and DMA to name a few. She continuously strives to bring excellence to her students by continuing                                                      her own education.

                                                    Miss Karen's judging credits include the Easthampton Junior Miss/Distinguished Young Woman Program, Miss                                                                        Rockville/Tolland County & Miss Constitution in the Miss Connecticut/ Miss America circuit, Miss/Miss Senior                                                                            Massachusetts & Step Up 2 Dance Talent Competition. In addition to choreographing numerous local & nationally award                                                      winning dance routines at WSDC she has also choreographed local theater performances for The Majestic Theater,                                                              STCC, Springfield Central High School, The Opera House Players, The Exit 7 Players Theater, WNEU, and Monson Summer Theater/Green Room Productions.  A former performer for Riverside Park and Six Flags New England, Ms. Karen has also danced alongside many dance icons such as Danny Daniels, Ben & Miller, The Silver Belles, Prof. LaVaughn Robinson and Frank Hatchett to name a few.
